Girls should establish career before getting married: Mithila
Recently a statement of Rafiath Rashid Mithila on her first marriage has been circulating on social media.
Mithila said that she was 23, a third year student, when she got married. Now when she looks back to her past life as an established and matured woman, she realises that she should not have taken that decision of tying the knot at an early age, that too when she was merely a student.
The artiste shared this observation on her own life in 2019, at the celebrity talk show "Fun with Favourites", hosted by Masuma Nabila. The show aired on a private channel on February 12. The episode is also available on YouTube.
After four years, on March 24, this year, Indian portal Hindustan Times Bangla published a report on this statement, where they titled the article writing—'getting married to Tahsan at an early age was the biggest mistake of her life'. Although the entire news has no other references of Mithila saying anything like this.
Mithila herself corrected this information, and on Saturday (April 15), she shared clarifying the statement on Prothom Alo.
There Mithila claimed that she never made any comment as such. The news is based on her comments made at a show a few years ago. She also said that her statement has been misrepresented.
The actor is concerned about the young girls of this country for whom the path of establishing their careers is still not smooth. Therefore, Mithila thinks that girls should stand on their own feet and get married after completing their education.
Mithila is currently visiting Uganda for work purposes. The actor has many female fans, and many think of her as a role model.
