Go to Pakistan, you can eat beef there: Internet trolls Ranbir Kapoor
Ranbir Kapoor is, once again, back in the hot seat after his recent comments about working in Pakistani films fueled major backlash on social media.
The actor who attended the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, told the media that he would love to star in a Pakistani film.
When asked by a director whether he would be interested in working in a Pakistani film, the actor said, "Of course, sir. I think there are no boundaries for artists, especially for their art. Many congratulations to the Pakistan film industry for 'The Legend of Maula Jatt'. It is one of the biggest hits we have seen in the last few years."
However, netizens were furious with the actor, and trolled Ranbir and Alia for the comment.
"Both Alia and Ranbir should shift to Pakistan. They can easily enjoy beef and work in Pakistani films," said one user. Another user wrote, "Ranbir Kapoor says he would love to work in Pakistani films. And I loved him once upon a time."
Earlier on, Ranbir Kapoor was massively trolled, online, for a decade-old video where he said he loves eating beef.
On multiple occasions, netizens had also called out for #BoycottBrahmastra on Twitter but the film went on to rake in good revenues in the Box office.
