Government to provide grants for 32 films

Like previous years, the government has called for screenplay submissions for films.
According to the Ministry of Information, a total of 32 films will receive grants in the 2024 and 2025 fiscal years, comprising up to 12 full-length films and 20 short films.
Interested applicants must submit a comprehensive package, including the film's story, screenplay, and cast details, to the Ministry of Information by April 7, 4 pm. The official announcement regarding the grant programme was issued on February 26.
The eligibility criteria specify that only local filmmakers and producers can apply for funding. Submissions must come from producers, directors, film professionals, or industry experts. Additionally, each applicant is required to provide 12 copies of the complete proposal, which should include a detailed production plan along with a list of cast and crew members.
After evaluation, a total of 32 screenplays—both full-length and short films—will be selected for government grants, offering filmmakers financial support to bring their creative vision to life.
