Have fallen in love with Puja Chery, but in the realm of acting: Shajal Noor

A new film starring Shajal Noor and Puja Chery will soon be released this Eid. The actor will be making his return to the big screen after a six-year-gap with the movie, "Jin".

This will also mark his first ever film with Puja Chery. "Jin" has been directed by Nader Chowdhury. Alongside this, he has another film, "Shubornobhumi" awaiting release. At the same time, the actor has become a one of the most talked about talents due to his recent performance in the web-series, "The Silence".

How many years has it been since you starred in a film?

After almost six years, a new film starring me will be released this Eid. Nader Chowdhury is directing this film. Puja Chery will be starring opposite me in the film. All in all, I can tell the audience that they can expect a good movie coming this Eid. The film is very beautiful and will be a treat to watch with everyone in the family. Currently, the Bangladeshi film industry is buzzing, so I hope this film adds to the air of interest surrounding it.

How has the experience of acting alongside Puja Chery been for you?

Puja is an incredibly talented and hard-working actress. She is very serious about her craft and whenever she is in front of the camera, she becomes a very professional performer. I really liked these qualities about Puja and I believe that she will go a long way in the industry.

It is quite common for an actor and actress to be in love. Have you fallen in love with Puja Chery?

I have fallen in love with Puja Chery, but not in real life, rather in the realm of acting. Apart from this, during breaks in between shooting, we had a lot of fun. I got up to a lot of mischief along with Puja during the shooting. It has been a good time to work as an actor. The understanding between us as co-artistes has been very good. We have booth tried giving our best performance in front of the camera.

Could you tell us about the director of "Jin" and the story behind the film?

The story for the film is based on a true story. Nader Chowdhury is a very talented director and actor. I grew up watching his performances as a child. He has directed this film with a lot of care, which is very commendable. I have to give credit to his direction. While I cannot say much about "Jin" right now, I can share that the film is based on real-life events.

What request do you have for your fans and moviegoers?

Those who enjoy my acting ang love me, love Bangalee cinema, I request you all to come to the theatres to watch "Jin" during Eid. You will definitely be watching a good film. I am very confident about this film. In "Jin", I will be playing the role of a photographer in the film.

Could you tell us about your other film which is awaiting release?

"Shubornobhumi" is a film based on the story of the Liberation War. The project is being directed by Zahid Hasan, who is well known for his directorial skills. He also has many talked about films as well. I really enjoyed the experience of working in a Liberation War-based movie. I want to keep doing films like these.
