He took blame when a shot went wrong: ‘Jawan’ stuntman ‘amazed’ by SRK
Everyone who meets Shah Rukh Khan has tales to tell about his gentlemanly nature. The latest person enchanted by his charm is a stuntman named Saddam from the film "Jawan". Saddam spoke in a recent interview about SRK's kindness, dedication, and passion for his craft.
A video circulating on social media shows Saddam referring to Shah Rukh Khan as the "sweetest guy". He further shares his observation that he has never encountered a more dedicated actor. He explained, "The heroes I usually work with are usually tough, they come and say, 'I will do this and that.' But he was not like that. He asked me how I was going to do the stunt and checked on safety. He was concerned about my well-being, and I briefed him on how it was safe."
Saddam went on to say that SRK would take the initiative on the "Jawan" set and discuss the stunts. He adds that the best thing about Shah Rukh Khan was how he checked on Saddam after each shot. "He would ask, 'Are you okay?' Also, if the shot went wrong, he would immediately say it was his fault. I was amazed by the kind of star he is. SRK is really different from anyone I have worked with," Saddam added.
He also recalled a particular scene where SRK's hand had to be tied back, and he had to fight some men. Saddam shares how Shah Rukh Khan insisted on doing it himself and nailed it in a single take. He mentions that there wasn't even a mat on the floor, which is usually added for comfort.
Originally slated for a June release, the makers of "Jawan" recently announced that the film will now hit theatres on September 7. The Atlee film stars Shah Rukh Khan alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara.
In June 2022, a title announcement video gave audiences a glimpse of the film, piquing their interest. "Jawan" is one of the three titles featuring SRK scheduled for release in 2023. This year, Shah Rukh has already made history with his film "Pathaan", which became one of the biggest box office successes in Hindi cinema, earning over Rs 1,000 crore globally. After "Jawan", he will be seen in Rajkumar Hirani's "Dunki", which is aiming for a December release.
