Human trafficking awareness concert in four districts

Winrock International has arranged a concert by popular musical bands of Bangladesh, whilst screening documentary shows. The event will take place from May 7 to 14, in four different districts— Khulna, Satkhira, Jessore, and Cox's Bazar. The whole arrangement is aimed for rising anti-trafficking, at the same time, as a part of developing to restoring dignity, well-being, and self-sufficiency for men and women who have escaped trafficking.

Dalchhut, Joler Gaan, Different Touch, Madal, and artistes including the likes of Chandana Majumdar, and Sandeepan will be participating in the events.

This concert is being organised by the Ashshash project, and has been facilitated by Winrock International supported by Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh.

My hard work has paid off: Oishee

On May 4, Chandana Majumdar and the band Different Touch will participate at Hadis Park in Khulna, starting from 3 pm. In the second concert on May 7, singers Sandeepan and Chandana will participate at the Government Boys School ground in Satkhira. On the third concert, on May 10, Joler Gaan and Sandeepan will participate at Jessore's Town Hall Ground. On the concluding day, Dalchhut and Madal will enthrall the audience at Labani Beach Cox's Bazar sea beach. All of the concerts will start at 3 pm and will continue until 6 pm.

All the event will be managed by advertising agency Cool Exposure. The activities of the project took place in 15 upazilas of five districts prone to human trafficking in the country.
