I don't have the right to disrespect Shakib: Puja Chery
Dhallywood diva Puja Chery is ready to set the stage on fire with her superb performance at National Film Awards 2021 today.
Yesterday, during the National Awards rehearsal, the actress talked with a local news portal and discussed her social media post on not being part of Shakib Khan's upcoming film "Maya."
"I don't know why people are dragging Shakib Khan into all of this. I don't have the right or the audacity to disrespect him," said the actress.
The "Pori" actress clarified that she wrote the post only to confirm that she wasn't ever approached for the project.
"I have made it clear from my place that I have not signed a contract for that movie and since I am not part of the project it's only fair to confirm it for my fans," added the actress.
When asked about the rumours surrounding Shakib Khan dropping Puja Chery from "Maya", Puja said, "These are really disrespectful words. Please let us not talk about such things," added the actress.
She also refuted rumours of love affair with her "Golui" co-star.
"No matter whom I work with; people will spread rumour that I am having an affair with them. Honestly, I have stopped caring about it now," added the actress.
Puja Chery's web-film "Pori" was released yesterday at OTT platform Deepto Play. The project also stars Farhan Ahmed Jovan and Tariq Anam Khan in pivotal roles.
