I have no problems working with Apu Biswas in the same film: Shobnom Bubly
Shobnom Bubly has carved a space for herself in the film industry, in a short span of time. The anchor turned actress made her debut in "Bossgiri" in 2016, opposite superstar Shakib Khan. Six of her films were hits in a row, including "Shooter", "Rangbaaz", and "Ohongkar", among others. In a candid conversation with The Daily Star, the actress spoke about her latest projects, and more.
What are you currently busy with?
Currently, I am busy with the shoot of "Talash", which is being directed by National Film Award- winning cinematographer Saikat Nasir. A K Azad is my co artiste in the film. It is his silver screen debut. We are almost done filming the project. Hopefully, it will be released in November.
Can you tell us a little about the plot of the film?
It is a romantic thriller with an unconventional storyline, I hope the audience will experience something exciting in this film, with wonderful cinematography.
Recently, you said at a press meet on the sets of 'Talash' that you are willing to work with Apu Biswas. Do you want to make any further comments on that?
Why would not I work with Apu Biswas? As we are colleagues in the same fraternity, if we are offered a project where I meet the demands of the character, I have no problems working with her in the same film.
What are your expectations from your upcoming release, "Chokh"?
"Chokh", directed by Asif Iqbal Jewel, will hit the theatres on October 1. We are really excited about the film. I have worked with Nirab Hossain and Ziaul Roshan in this project, they were very cooperative. We shot the film under many restrictions, amidst the pandemic. The impact of Covid-19 has left the film industry in a critical condition. I hope audiences will visit theatres, taking all precautions. I am sure people will like the film.
Would you be open to working with OTT platforms in the future?
If I am offered any full-fledged film with an exciting role, I will definitely go for it. OTT platforms are garnering considerable attention, especially as theatres were closed due to the pandemic. However, I believe OTT platforms are not an alternative to theatres. The silver screen experience is outstanding, and I am sure moviegoers know this too.
