‘I’d rather have rumors about me than be a nobody’

Indian actor Vijay Deverakonda has garnered much attention from his fans, especially after he picked up the lead role in "Liger". Alongside praises, many rumours, specifically regarding the "Arjun Reddy' famed star, was also been trending among his followers.

While link-up speculations with actor and close friend Rashmika Mandanna, also his frequent co-star, have been a constant for a long time, Vijay's entry to Hindi cinema with the upcoming film "Liger" has piqued interest in his personal life as actors Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Ananya Panday have publicly expressed their affection for him.

The actor addressed such rumours with a rather witty response in a recent interview.

"I'd rather be who I am and have these rumors written about me than be a nobody and have nothing written about me. So, I'm ok with the not necessarily true stuff, or not necessarily productive stuff. I'm comfortable with it, it does not bother me," he said.

Vijay Deverakonda is currently busy promoting his upcoming film "Liger", where he essays the role of a Mumbai-based underdog fighter competing in an MMA tournament. The film will hit the theatres on August 25.
