National Film Award-winning actress Jaya Ahsan, one of the most sought-after talents in contemporary Bengali cinema, is set to release her new musical film "Bagan Bilash" tomorrow night. 

Directed by Sadia Islam Roza, the musical film will be a unique cinematic experience, as conveyed by the actress to The Daily Star.

"I had the opportunity to work with Pritom Hasan and Elita Karim for this project. It has been a fantastic experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed it," expressed the actress.

She further explained, "'Bagan Bilash' tells a story based on a simple concept, but it's something that the audience will be able to resonate with."

"I will be appearing in something unexplored tomorrow, so I warmly invite everyone to watch the film," she added in an address to the viewers.

Jaya expressed her admiration for Pritom, saying, "I'm a fan of Pritom's work in general. He's done an excellent job on this project. Moreover, I've wanted to work with Elita for quite some time, and 'Bagan Bilash' fulfilled that wish. Altogether, the team was wonderful."

On working with director Sadia Islam Roza, Jaya shared, "Sadia is a new talent, but she knows her craft well. She has a lot of potential considering she managed to convince me to work with her. I felt this would be a good project, and after completing it, I believe it was indeed the right decision."

The shooting of "Bagan Bilash" took place in Dhaka, specifically in the historic areas of Old Dhaka. Jaya remarked, "We filmed in Old Dhaka. The location added a lot of charm to the project."

Aside from this new release, Jaya Ahsan has also completed filming for the web-series "Jimmi", directed by Ashfaque Nipun. This marks her first collaboration with the director. The final phase of the series was recently shot in Pabna.
