IMAX tickets for 'Oppenheimer' sell for Rs 2450 in India

Christopher Nolan's latest film, "Oppenheimer", has been generating a buzz worldwide. In particular, its coinciding release date with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling starrer, "Barbie" is adding to the hype.

In India, the most expensive tickets for screenings of "Oppenheimer" are going for as high a price as Rs 2,450 (without taxes), with many tickets already being sold out. The pricey tickets in question are for IMAX screens at PVR ICON: Phoenix Palladium in Mumbai, for the opening day of the show.

"Oppenheimer" is all set for a massive debut in India. As per reports, the first day collection estimates for "Oppenheimer" could range between Rs 10-15 crore. In comparison, last week's "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One" collected around Rs 12.50 crore on its opening day.

"Oppenheimer" explores the life of American theoretical physicist, J Robert Oppenheimer. The film will showcase the rise of the physicist, who is credited with developing the first atomic bomb.
