In a recent debacle regarding the release of "Pathaan" in Bangladesh, a lot of artistes and distributors, weighed in with their opinions. Multiple parties have agreed to the import of Hindi films, along with the General Secretary of the Bangladesh Film Artistes Association, Nipun Akhter.

In a recent interview with the media, Nipun, on behalf of the Film Artistes Association, requested for a 10 percent share of profits from Hindi films screened in the country. She added that this will be beneficial in reviving cinema halls, along with providing funds for fellow artistes.

Actor Zayed Khan, on the other hand, does not agree with the decision. He claims that bringing in Hindi films to compete alongside Bangladeshi films will have a detrimental effect on our culture. He also added that having big budget movies like "Pathaan" as competitors will drive local artistes and their stories out of business.

The actor suggested that if Hindi films will be screened here, then Bangladeshi films should also be screened in India.

Shah Rukh Khan's film might soon be on its way for release in Bangladesh. It will allegedly be brought through the SAFTA agreement, and the distribution company in question has already sent a letter to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting regarding the issue.
