'Jawan' surpasses Rs 700 crore in 9 days
In the first week, Jawan, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles, earned a whopping ₹468.9 crore in India. Since its release on September 7, the film has created a massive impact at both the domestic and global box offices. Film industry expert Manobala Vijayabalan reported that Jawan crossed the ₹700 crore mark in global gross earnings within just nine days of its release, making it the fastest Bollywood film to achieve this milestone, following Shah Rukh Khan's earlier film, Pathaan.
During a recent success press conference for Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan expressed that the film embodies the spirit of every Indian, representing values of honesty, goodness, and love. He remarked, "Jawan is more than just a film; it's a sentiment that resonates with every Indian. It symbolizes our soldiers, mothers, daughters, and even the spirit of a vigilant citizen."
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Manobala wrote, "Jawan WW Box office. Zooms past Rs 700 cr gross mark in just 9 days. Fastest Bollywood film to achieve this feat. Second entrant for Shah Rukh Khan after #Pathaan.
In addition to Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi, Jawan features special appearances by Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt. The film also includes a talented ensemble cast, including Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, and Mukesh Chhabra. Presented by Red Chillies Entertainment, Jawan is produced by Gauri Khan and co-produced by Gaurav Verma.
