Joy Bangla Festival held in Dohar
Echoing the essence of the Liberation War, the "Joy Bangla Festival" reached Dohar after garnering immense success in Dhaka. The programme began at 7 pm at Joypara and concluded at midnight.
The event was presided over by the Freedom Fighter Dr Khan Mohammad Abdul Mannan.
Salman F Rahman, MP, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Private Industry and Investment, was present at the event as the chief guest. He was felicitated for his active role in establishing "Joy Bangla" as a national slogan.
Md Alamgir Hossain, the Upazila Chairman of Dohar, and former Chief Cinematographer of Bangladesh Film Department, conservator of Bangabandhu's historic speech, Ekushey Medal-winning personality Amjad Ali were also in attendance, among others.
Noted actors Ferdous, Bidya Sinha Mim, and Tama Mirza presented dance performances while Nagarbaul James, folk queen Momotaz, and Taposh and Friends performed melodious numbers.
The event was broadcast live by Ganbangla Television. The event partner was One More Zero Communications. The Joy Bangla Festival will be held in Nawabganj tomorrow.
