Kolkata queues for two hours to watch 'Hawa'
Chanchal Chowdhury, who is currently attending the fourth Bangladesh Film Festival in Kolkata, shared a video showing the long queues outside of Nandan-1 film centre, as audiences lined up to catch the 1 pm show of "Hawa".
According to a lot of videos on social media, audiences have been gathering in front of the gates of the film centre since 10:45 am. The Bangladesh FIlm Festival is free for audiences to attend, but operates on a 'first-come first-serve' basis due to limited seats. That is part of the reason why such long queues have started forming at Nandan-1.
At the same time, Chanchal Chowdhury, himself, will attend the screening of "Hawa". So, the Kolkata audience did not want to miss out on the opportunity to watch the movie with the man himself.
The inaugural programme of the Bangladesh Film Festival, which is today, will feature two screenings of "Hawa"—the first at 1 pm, while the second will be at 6 pm. Both screenings today will take place at Nandan-1.
Additionally, "Hawa" will be screened again on October 31 at 6 pm, in Nandan-2. The festival will screen the last and final show of "Hawa" on November 2 at 6 pm as well.
