Madhumita Cinema Hall to reopen with ‘Black War’
Madhumita, one of the oldest cinema halls of Dhaka, will be reopening again on January 13, with the theatrical launch of Arifin Shuvoo starrer, "Black War."
Iftekhar Uddin Noushad, the owner of Madhumita Cinema Hall, confirmed the news to The Daily Star.
Earlier on, the cinema hall was closed-off for two months, due to the football World Cup.
Iftekhar said, "During the World Cup, new films weren't doing well, as everyone was hyped about football. So, we had to temporarily close down the theatre for the time being. I am hoping that we will be able to do good business with the launch of 'Black War'."
Madhumita Cinema Hall was established in 1967. This historic hall can hold a total of 1,200 viewers, at a time, during the screening of a movie.
