"Kak Jochona", a new tele-fiction directed by renowned actor and director, Salahuddin Lavlu, and written by noted actor, thespian, and director, Mamunur Rashid, recently completed shooting in Pubail, Gazipur.

Sitting down with The Daily Star for a cup of tea, Mamunur Rashid shared a few words about the project, "The tele-fiction portrays our moral values and continuing degradation. It's been a long time since I wrote an hour-long drama like this one."

"Even if it is a little amount, but this tele-fiction will make the audience think about our social degradation. If not, how will the people become aware?" shared the Ekushey Padak awardee.

Mamunur Rashid will also be playing a role in the tele-fiction. "I play the role of a Zamindar in the drama," he continued, adding, "Fazlur Rahman Babu also played a role in the tele-fiction. His character is one that touched my heart—I was also a bit emotional when I wrote the script."

Currently, Mamunur Rashid is quite busy acting in other tele-fictions and staging theatre plays, alongside his troupe Aranyak Natyadal. The group recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and is currently busy staging the play "Kohe Facebook".

Speaking about his career in the theatre and entertainment industry, the actor said, "Acting is everything for me. It gives me sustenance and helps me thrive. It's my passion and pursuit that satisfied my hunger for this art."

Mamunur Rashid concluded by saying, "I have been with Aranyak since the day Bangladesh became independent. I truly love theatre, as I began my career here. Theatre has been able to help me feel fulfilled."
