"Mastul" has earned a nomination for Best Humanitarian Film at the upcoming Imagine India International Film Festival, scheduled to take place in Madrid, Spain this September.

The 24th edition of the festival will run from September 1 to 16, where this Mohammad Nuruzzaman film will compete in the 'Life Award' category.

The announcement has also been confirmed through a release on the official Imagine India website.

Following its premiere in Moscow, the film has attracted considerable attention from various quarters. Riding that wave of interest, "Mastul" is now preparing for its screening at Imagine India 2025.

The director has received an official invitation to attend the festival and expressed his hope to travel to Spain in September, pending final arrangements.

"Mastul" tells the story of sailors who live and work on the water, portraying their lives with sensitivity and realism.

The cast includes Fazlur Rahman Babu, Deepak Suman, Aminur Rahman Mukul, Arif Hasan, Sikdar Mukit, and Sifat Bannya, among others.

The digital distribution and promotional activities for the film are handled by TongGhor Talkies.

As for its release in Bangladesh, the director shared that he intends to screen the film locally before it heads to Spain, stating that planning is underway and progress will depend on how things develop.

Notably, "Mastul" previously earned a Special Mention at the 47th Moscow International Film Festival, further solidifying its growing international acclaim.
