After a nearly 10-month hiatus from the OTT scene since the release of "Mobaroknama" last December, Mosharraf Karim returned with the anthology series "Adhunik Bangla Hotel".

Since then, he's been at the centre of attention with back-to-back OTT projects.  As the year draws to a close, Mosharraf is gracing three different platforms with new content, reaffirming his stature as one of the industry's most sought-after actors.

On December 24, just in time for Christmas, the "Bhaggo Bhalo" episode of the "Dui Shaw" series dropped on Chorki, featuring Mosharraf Karim in a lead role.

Directed by Nuhash Humayun, this episode is based on the story of a popular fortune teller. Mosharraf plays the fortune teller who is skilled at reading others' fortunes but struggles to foresee his own fate.

The show takes a philosophical turn as he confronts the question: Why can't he predict his own future?

The episode also stars Jebunnessa Sobhan (Tun Tuni), Adnan Adib Khan, and Samia Othoi.

Reflecting on "Bhaggo Bhalo", Mosharraf Karim shared, "When I first heard the story, I knew I had to be a part of it. It was challenging because the narrative style is quite unique. My character, an astrologer who lives in a slum, eventually faces a moral dilemma when he's asked to perform a forbidden task."

Meanwhile, Mosharraf is starring in "O-Purush", a web film premiering today on the OTT platform Bongo. He plays a local journalist in a small town where the story revolves around the mysterious death of a labour leader.

The leader's daughter, Maya, suspects foul play, believing her father was murdered. As she investigates, she is brutally raped and killed. Local journalist Rashed, played by Mosharraf, takes it upon himself to uncover the truth, with the help of a fellow journalist from Dhaka, Maliha.

As the plot thickens, Maliha discovers that her own father was also a murder victim, and the investigation spirals in an unexpected direction.

Alongside Mosharraf Karim, "O-Purush" features performances by Robena Reza Jui, Somu Chowdhury, and Samia Othoi. The film is co-directed by Jasim Mon and Taifur Jahan Ashiq.

To cap off the year, Mosharraf will appear in "Ondhokarer Gaan", a thriller web film scheduled for release on December 31 on Binge. Directed by Vicky Zahed, the film casts Mosharraf as Mukul, a man who leaves his family—wife, children, and ailing mother—in the village to work in the city.

Mukul dutifully sends money home every month but becomes romantically entangled with a city girl and contemplates marriage. His introduction to a powerful man, Idris Ali, eventually pulls Mukul into the underworld. Meanwhile, back in the village, Mukul's wife, Rumali, also finds herself caught up in immoral activities.

"Ondhokarer Gaan" tells the tale of the consequences of human sin. The cast also includes Abul Hayat, Zakia Bari Mamo, Shahnaz Sumi, and Monira Mithu.
