Mosharraf Karim’s ‘Daag’ dwells on social stigma
Noted actor Mosharraf Karim will be making his Chorki debut with Sanjoy Somadder's web film "Daag". The movie revolves around the barriers of society, and how we need to overcome those obstacles to create a free atmosphere for everyone.
Recently, the shooting of the movie was completed across various locations in Dhaka.
When asked about the plot of the film, the actor replied, "We don't want to keep a 'Daag' (blemish) in our minds, as it is something which reminds us of our mistakes. We may have come a long way, erasing many kinds of stains. However, there are still some 'Daag' present in our society, that we are failing to remove it permanently from our life. The story of those indelible spots is what the project is all about."
Mosharraf Karim believes that audiences will see him in a different avatar in this film.
The movie also marks Sanjoy Somadder's first collaboration with Chorki. The director became emotional on talking about the film.
"'Daag' has a wonderful story, that will completely engross the audiences. No one can guess who the pivotal character is in this film, without watching it till the end. The hero of this film is truly 'social issues' which haunts the country. I really hope that we will be able to give something different this time," revealed the director.
The movie also stars Aisha Khan, Nishat Priom, Shomu Chowdhury, Shilpi Sharkar, Shilpi Sharkar Apu, Naresh Bhuiyan, Mili Basher and Masum Basher, among others.
