'Mr-9: Do or Die' receives censor clearance for Bangla release
Fans of the iconic Bangladeshi Spy Masud Rana, were anticipating the release of "Mr-9: Do or Die." However, most of the fans couldn't relate with the movie as it was released in English. The language difference has created an obstacle as people couldn't fully relate to Masud Rana in a foreign language.
"Mr-9: Do or Die" was released in 151 halls across Canada and USA, and 18 halls across the country.
The production company apparently wanted to release the English version in Bangladeshi theatres as they thought people are used to watching Hollywood films in multiplexes.
However, a source revealed to a local media that the makers couldn't fully dub the movie in Bangla prior to its global release date. As a result, the Bengali version was delayed in receiving its censorship clearance.
Subsequently, the movie has finally received its certificate today and Jaaz Multimedia announced on its social media page that the film will be released in Bangla, on September 1.
"MR-9: Do or Die" is a visual adaptation of "Dhongsho Pahar", the first edition of the popular spy series Masud Rana, authored by eminent writer Qazi Anwar Husain.
The film is produced by Jaaz Multimedia, The Film Post, Chasing Butterflies, Mr-9 Films, and Al Bravo Films.
It stars ABM Sumon, Frank Grillo, Sakshi Pradhan, Michael Jai White and Niko Foster, among others, in prominent roles.
