Nasir Uddin Khan to play rugged fisherman in 'Boli'
Actor Nasir Uddin Khan, known for his performances in projects like "Mohanagar", "Syndicate", "Myself Allen Swapan" and "Prohelika", is currently experiencing the pinnacle of his career.
Now, he is gearing up for his new film, "Boli" (The Wrestler), where he will be playing the lead role. The film has been directed by Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury.
While the director has kept the details under wraps, a glimpse of Nasir Uddin Khan's intense gaze in a picture, shared by the director himself on Facebook, has piqued curiosity, indicating that this role is unlike any other he has portrayed.
In "Boli," Nasir Uddin takes on the role of a rugged fisherman from a coastal area, but the film's narrative is shrouded in mystery, adding to its allure. The director believes that "Boli" has the potential to become a timeless classic, both regionally and internationally.
The movie was extensively shot in the picturesque coastal area of Chittagong in April-May last year.
"Boli" also received financial support from the Government of Bangladesh in the fiscal year 2020-21. Additionally, it was selected as the preliminary choice for the Hubert Bals Fund, a prestigious global film fund, in September last year.
With Piplu R Khan serving as the producer, "Boli" is expected to hit theaters by the end of this year.
