National Film Awards 2021 to be a star-studded affair
On March 9, the National Film Awards 2021 will be held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center. The event will be hosted by eminent actor Ferdous and Dhallywood actress Nusraat Faria, with everything pointing to the occasion being a star-studded one.
The ceremony will begin with an opening dance sequence about Bangabandhu, being performed by Warda Rihab.
The night will also feature performances from Apu Biswas, Nipun Akter, Puja Chery, Prarthana Fardin Dighi, Tama Mirza, Jannatul Ferdous Oishee, Symon Sadik, Emon, Nirab Hossain and Zayed Khan. The stars will be performing to popular songs from the 80s and 90s, like "Beder Meye Josna", "Jiboner Golpo Baki Ache Olpo" and "Pich Dhala Ei Pothtare", choreographed by Evan Shahriar Sohag. The programme will also feature musical performances from Momotaz, Partha Barua, Nandita and Nishita Barua.
A total of 27 awards will be given for the 2021 iteration of the National Film Awards in 34 categories. Fellow actors Ilias Kanchan and Dolly Zahur will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for their priceless contributions to the industry.
