Netflix is experiencing backlash on social media for announcing the re-release of the James Cameron movie "Titanic." This didn't go well with the fans as it appeared very insensitive from the streaming giant's side.

While the trolling is generally lighthearted, it highlights Netflix's insensitivity towards the tragic tragedy. On June 18, the ill-fated submarine sank in the North Atlantic Ocean near the wreckage of the renowned Titanic.

Given the film's ongoing appeal and capacity to enthrall fans, the inclusion of "Titanic" on the streaming platform is undeniably a planned decision by the streaming giant.

The 1997 film will be available on the streaming service on July 1 in the United States and Canada.

One user commented on Netflix's post by saying, "Netflix just couldn't stop themselves, huh?" Another said, "This timing is so wrong." While another person wrote, "Netflix saw the opportunity and wasted no time."

Although Netflix has not commented on the trolling, the corporation is certainly aware of the anger it has received. Given the backlash, the streaming giant may choose to remove "Titanic" from its library temporarily or postpone its return to the site.
