A new horizon in Orsha’s career

Nazia Haque Orsha has been associated with the showbiz industry since 2009. Her journey began with Lux Channel i Superstar. Since then, she has been acting in television dramas, films and web-series. One of her most popular series is "Networker Baire".

In the course of acting for around 15 years, she earned much love from the audience. Orsha has recently completed shooting for a new movie, based on famous fiction writer Hasan Azizul Huq's essay-book "Ekattor: Korotole Chhinnomatha".

The movie has been named after the book, and is government-funded. It has been directed by Rafiqul Anowar Russell. Orsha takes on the role of a university student who comes from West Bengal.

When asked about acting in the new movie, the actress said, "I agreed to do the movie for two reasons. Firstly, it is based on the writing of the famous writer Hasan Azizul Huq. Secondly, Asaduzzaman Noor bhai is in this movie. The fact that the story is based on the Liberation War, adds a special kind of sentiment."

Orsha also mentioned that she liked how not much was changed from the original story by the Bangladeshi writer, "I have finished shooting my part and I am satisfied with it."

In response to being asked about her experience of acting with the famous Asaduzzaman Noor, she said, "It was a wonderful experience acting with Noor bhai. He is such a great actor! I had never worked with him before this so I was excited and rather pleased. However, I was nervous while acting."

"He could tell I was nervous after only hearing a sentence from me. Then he made acting with him so easy, that I was able to perform sincerely. I never imagined I'd receive as much support as I have received from him. He is the type who can effortlessly mix with his co-artists and that made it comforting for me," the actress elaborated.

Orsha also informed that she learned a lot from the veteran actor Asaduzzaman Noor, "He is such a punctual person that he always appeared on time at the filming set. He also chats with everyone during shooting breaks."

Regarding the movie, she said, "It has been a successful production which is joyous for any given actor."

Orsha was also a part of the recently released "1971 Shei Shob Din" where she played an important character. Her screen presence there made an impact on the audience.

The versatile actress also won a Meril Prothom Alo Award, very recently.
