Nusraat Faria forced to ride bike to catch premiere of 'Mujib' biopic
Dhaka's traffic has been notoriously famous for getting citizens late to work. The merciless traffic didn't even spare the gorgeous Nusraat Faria, who was getting late for the special screening of her movie, "Mujib: The Making of the Nation", at SKS Tower.
To reach the premiere on time, the actress came up with an effective strategy of deciding to ditch her car and hire a Pathao bike to reach her destination. Within 30 minutes, she arrived at the theatre and was able to experience the special screening along with the cast and showbiz celebrities there.
In a now-deleted Instagram story, Nusraat Faria shared a picture of herself covered with a headscarf to hide her face as she rode on the bike. She captioned it, saying, "This is how I am going to the premiere show."
The glamourous actress wore a beautiful light pink jamdani saree designed by Nabila Boutiques while Zahid Khan did her stunning makeup.
During the premiere, Nusraat Faria shared that Friday was an extraordinary day for her.
"A lot of things happened today. I can't believe I rode on a bike for the first time to watch the premiere of my movie. The entire road was gridlocked, so I wrapped myself in an orna to catch the movie on time. I am a little bit exhausted but I am thankful to God for everything," said the actress.
Nusraat Faria also shared that she started the morning on Friday by watching a special movie screening along with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the rest of the cast members.
"I have watched the movie twice now, and every time I see the movie, I get emotional as I get lost in the memory line. After watching the film, I asked our honourable prime minister whether I was able to do justice to the film, and she replied that I did a wonderful job and I looked sweet in the movie. This compliment truly made my day," concluded the actress.
In "Mujib", Arifin Shuvoo leads the ensemble cast as the title character of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, while Nusrat Imrose Tisha plays Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib. Actress Nusraat Faria portrayed Bangabandhu's elder daughter and Bangladesh Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina.
The biopic also features popular actors Chanchal Chowdhury, Prarthana Dighi, Tauquir Ahmed and many others in different roles. The entire trailer showcases some of the powerful and majestic moments from Bangabandhu's epic journey to the road of the country's independence.
Acclaimed Indian music director Shantanu Moitra produced the film's music, and the Bengali dialogues are penned by Sadhana Ahmed, Gias Uddin Selim, Shihab Shaheen and Anam Biswas from Bangladesh.
