‘OMG 2’ inspires schools to include sex ed in their syllabus
Akshay has been focusing on social welfare-centric films for quite a while now. The actor's new film "OMG 2" which is a sequel to "OMG: Oh My God" (2012) is also a production that highlights social stigmas—especially one regarding sex education for children.
Recently, after watching Akshay Kumar and Punkaj Tripathi starrer "OMG 2", Sindhu Education Society in Ulhasnagar has announced to include sex education for children in their school's syllabus. A special screening of the film was also organised by the society at the event.
The director of "OMG 2", Amit Rai was also present at the event alongside 184 teachers and principals from 15 different schools in Ulhasnagar and MLA Kumar.
Concerning the educational society's announcement, Amit Rai shared, "This is something I shall always cherish. The purpose behind making this film has been attained. I am so happy that the film is not just doing well commercially but our message has reached out to people at large and we are witnessing changes happening all around us. Nothing can be more gratifying than this."
"OMG 2" has been doing well in the Indian box office, two weeks into the film's release. The film has already earned over Rs 3 crore and this score continues to increase. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam, and Pankaj Tripathi in the central roles.
