‘Pathaan Day’ to be celebrated today
"Pathaan", directed by Siddharth Anand, was released on January 25 to a thunderous response from the audience. The film has been released on 8,000 screens globally and has had an unrivaled run at the global box office. The film has grossed a whopping Rs. 963 crores at the global box office.
To celebrate "Pathaan" becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film in history, top theater chains in India - PVR, Inox, Cinepolis, Miraj, Movietime, MuktaA2 & other participating cinemas - have declared this Friday 'Pathaan Day'. These theaters have announced that Pathaan movie tickets will cost Rs.110 across all of their locations.
A fan took to Twitter to post about this news in excitement and wrote, "PathaanDay on 17 Feb 2023 All shows @ ₹ 110 flat!!" and tagged Shah Rukh, Deepika and John Abraham. Shah Rukh, who is quite active on twitter and interacting with his fans these days, wittily responded to the tweet and wrote, "Oh, now I have to watch it again. What a good thing to do. Thank u @yrf Can u arrange some free popcorn also! No??"

At the end of day 22, YRF stated that the film has minted Rs 970 crore worldwide as it became the first Hindi film to cross Rs 500 crore net at the box office.
"Pathaan" was produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films (YRF). The company seems to be building its own spy-thriller universe—featuring "Pathaan" with Shah Rukh Khan, "War" with Hrithik Roshan, and "Tiger" with Salman Khan.
