Legendary Nayak Raj Razzak and iconic actress Babita were featured together in numerous films, many of which were superhits. Among them, "Ononto Prem" is one of the most notable. Some other popular films they worked on together include "Badi Theke Begum", "Laily Majnu", "Badnam", and "Sonabou".

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Nayak Raj Razzak today, internationally acclaimed actress Babita shared her memories of the legendary actor with The Daily Star.

"Speaking about the Nayak Raj Razzak can never come to an end. His stories will be passed on and on. He was such a remarkable person and an extraordinary hero. Truthfully, he could perform any kind of role effortlessly."

"As a hero, he succeeded in every type of film, showcasing his versatility. His unparalleled acting in all genres and roles remains etched in people's memories."

Babita and Razzak's first film was "Shesh Porjonto" and then they went on to work together on countless films. "I was the heroine of many films produced by his Rajlokkhi Productions (Razzak's production house)," the veteran actress admitted.

"I was notably the heroine of his directorial debut, 'Ononto Prem'. This film was a phenomenal success in the country. Taking it off the theatres was nearly impossible. Our film 'Laily Majnu' received a tremendous response too and everybody used to sing the songs of the film. For a long time, people called me Laily and referred to Razzak bhai as Majnu," she recalled.

Broaching her connection with the late actor's family, she stated, "Razzak bhai was more than a colleague to me, we shared a great bond. His son Bappi lives in Canada. I often talk to him and share many stories about his father, which he loves to listen to. I'm still in regular contact with Razzak bhai's wife. The familial bond between our families remains, and it always will stand."

"I honestly often see Razzak bhai in my dreams. In these dreams, we are shooting a film together. I don't know why I dream about this. Razzak bhai is now far away, but his memory is close to my heart. I deeply respect and love him," she concluded.
