‘RRR’ to be re-released in 200 theatres in the US
The makers of "RRR," the film which is contending for Best Original Song at the upcoming Oscars, have opted to re-release the film in the US theaters on March 3. The film, directed by SS Rajamouli, will be released in around 200 theaters throughout the country. Variance Films, RRR's American distributor, announced the news on Twitter with a new trailer.
The new trailer highlights some of the film's biggest scenes, including the bridge sequence, the "Naatu Naatu" song, and glimpses of the dramatic final battle. To capitalize on the success of Naatu Naatu, the makers have included a raunchy remix of the song as the trailer's background music, making it even more entertaining for fans and new viewers.
The new trailer includes all of the worldwide accolades the film has garnered, including words of admiration from Hollywood heavyweights like James Cameron ("A Triumph I was amazed") and Steven Spielberg ("Extraordinary. I couldn't believe what I was seeing," and Edgar Wright ("What an incredible blast").
"RRR", starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, has been nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars in 2023. "Naatu Naatu", the film's original song, received a Golden Globe for Best Original Song. It has received a number of international awards, including the Critics' Choice Movie Awards, the New York Film Critics Circle, and the Chicago Film Critics Association.
