Rumana Islam Mukti joins Film Artistes’ Association’s executive council
Actress Rumana Islam Mukti has been appointed as a member of the executive council of the Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association (BFAA). Association President Misha Sawdagor told The Daily Star that she was nominated to fill a vacant position in the council.
The vacancy arose as actress Shahnoor was removed from the council for being absent from more than three consecutive meetings. Rumana Islam Mukti has now replaced her in the role.
Rumana Islam Mukti, daughter of veteran actress Anwara Begum, has appeared in acclaimed films including Goutam Ghose's "Padma Nadir Majhi", Humayun Ahmed's "Srabon Megher Din", and Chashi Nazrul Islam's "Hason Raja".
