SAJIDA Foundation launches investigation over staff’s remark on Sabnam Faria

SAJIDA Foundation has initiated an inquiry into an inappropriate remark made by one of its employees on a social media video featuring actress Sabnam Faria.
In a statement released yesterday (March 20), the organisation announced, "Our Safeguarding Committee is already conducting an investigation, and necessary actions will be taken in line with our policies."
The statement further emphasised, "We strongly condemn the Facebook comment made on March 18 by Rakibul Hasan, an employee of SAJIDA. Such behaviour - whether during or outside of regular office hours - is completely unacceptable."
The remark was made on a video clip from an event with cricketers, where the actress humorously said, "I won't stand next to Taskin, I will seem shorter. Tamim bhai, you come."
Meanwhile, Sabnam Faria took to her Facebook account yesterday and expressed her appreciation for the SAJIDA Foundation's response to the situation.
She wrote, "I appreciate SAJIDA Foundation for taking this matter seriously and upholding their commitment to dignity and respect. Their prompt response sends a strong message that such conduct has consequences, no matter where it happens."
"Let's continue to stand against harassment and create an environment where kindness and respect prevail."
