Salman Khan starrer film falls flat in Bangladeshi theatres
Salman Khan starrer "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" was released in 42 theatres around Bangladesh on August 25. Yet, the film did not manage to get much attention from the Bangladeshi audience.
On the first day of its release, Star Cineplex screened a total of 18 shows in seven branches. However, due to the lack of audience demand, the number of shows have been reduced to only four shows each in two branches of the Cineplex.
"The film earned only Tk 2 lakh on the first day of screening in 42 halls. It managed to collect a little over Tk 5 lakh from the screening of the last six days," the film's importer organisation, NU Ahmed Traders, shared with The Daily Star.
"We are now facing a huge loss, counting the import expense, alongside all other costs we bore to bring 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' on the silver screen in Bangladesh," added the organisation.
Farhad Samji's directorial film "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" stars Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Kaur Gill, Palak Tiwari, Ram Charan, and Bhumika Chawla, amongst others.
