"Borbaad", directed by Mehedi Hassan Hridoy, has been screening for 17 days since its release and continues to draw full houses, with reports of ticket shortages in some locations.

Amid this strong audience response, the film—released during Eid—has made its way onto IMDb's (Internet Movie Database) list of popular movies.

IMDb compiled its recent list of the top 100 popular films based on user interest and activity. "Borbaad" secured the 44th position. Topping the list is the Hollywood title "A Minecraft Movie", with other notable entries including "Snow White", "Anora", "Superman", "Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning", "Sikandar", and "Captain America: Brave New World".

Standing among these global titles, "Borbaad" has carved out a place for Bangladeshi cinema with a solid IMDb rating of 7.4. Director Mehedi Hassan Hridoy called it a significant milestone, emphasising the importance of a Bangladeshi film making its mark alongside Hollywood and Bollywood productions.

Moreover, the film's reach is now expanding globally. It is scheduled to release in the United States on April 18 and in Canada on April 19. According to the production company Real Energy, it will also hit theatres in Australia and New Zealand on April 26, with upcoming releases planned for Italy and Malaysia later this month.
