‘Squid Game’ Season 2 breaks Netflix viewership record in 11 days

The highly anticipated second season of "Squid Game" is smashing viewership records at a breakneck speed. After an explosive start, amassing 68 million views in just four days. Netflix's biggest TV debut ever — Season 2 surged to an additional 58.2 million views in its first full week. This brings the total to a staggering 126.2 million views within 11 days, a feat unmatched by any Netflix series in such a short time.

Last week, "Squid Game" Season 2 stormed Netflix's chart of most popular non-English-language shows, debuting at No. 7. Other top series included the limited series "Missing You", which debuted with 21.7 million views in its first five days, making it the most popular English-language series behind "Squid Game". Following closely was "Virgin River" Season 2, marking its third week in the Top 10 with 5.2 million views, and "Black Doves", which pulled in 5 million views in its fifth week.

Canadian mystery thriller "Departure", which first premiered in 2020, made a splash on Netflix, with Season 1 ranking fourth with 3.6 million views, while Season 2 secured 10th place with 1.6 million views.

In fifth place was Colman Domingo's "The Madness", accumulating 2.8 million views in its sixth week on the chart, followed by the comedy special "Your Friend, Nate Bargatze" at No. 6 with 2.5 million views in its first full week of release.

"No Good Deed" continued to maintain its place on the chart for the fourth week, securing seventh place with 2.3 million views. Meanwhile, the comedy roast special "Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year" garnered 2.1 million views, landing at No. 8.
