It had been rumoured for a while that Shah Rukh Khan will be playing the role of 'Vanarastra' in "Brahmastra". On Thursday, photos of the actor's cameo appearance in the Ayan Mukerji film were leaked online.

Fans took to twitter, sharing the leaked photos of Shah Rukh's look as Vanarastra—which is inspired by lord Hanuman.

In one of the photos, Shah Rukh can be seen blood-soaked, on his knees, giving the signature SRK arms wide open pose. Golden sparks could be seen coming out of his feet. In another video, Shah Rukh is elevated midair, with a bright golden silhouette of lord Hanuman appearing around him.

While it is unclear where the leaked pictures and videos have come from, fans have now been convinced that the actor will be playing the role of Vanarastra in the movie. 

Sharing the pictures to Twitter, a fan wrote, "Shah Rukh Khan with his signature pose from Brahmastra. The only film that is worth being excited for."

Earlier, many fans had spotted Shah Rukh in the Brahmastra trailer from June. It has also been rumoured that Deepika Padukone will also be seen in the film alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. 

"Brahmastra" is slated for release on September 9.
