SS Rajamouli's blockbuster movie "RRR" has received phenomenal response across international borders. The director has confirmed that a sequel starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR is already in the play, and has kicked off its early stages of development.

SS Rajamouli has already started working on the screenplay along with his father and screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad.

The film "RRR" is a fictional account based on the lives of two Telugu liberation fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem. It was SS Rajamouli's comeback to directing, following the huge box-office success of "Baahubali". The movie also stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, and Ray Stevenson in pivotal roles.

At the box office, the movie made a record-breaking amount of money. However, "Chhello Show" defeated it to become India's official submission for the Oscars in 2023. The team has nonetheless submitted the movie to the Academy for consideration in all categories, including Best Picture, Best Director (SS Rajamouli), Best Actor (Jr NTR and Ram Charan), Best Supporting Actor (Ajay Devgn), Best Supporting Actress (Alia Bhatt), and others.
