Stars react to Brazil's victory
Arguably, Brazil and Argentina are the teams which have the greatest number of supporters in the FIFA World Cup. Our celebrities also join in on the hype, when the greatest show on earth rolls around.
Last night Brazil's victory over Serbia elated celebrities who support Brazil. Let us see who said what after Brazil's win.
Five-time National Film Award winning actor Fazlur Rahman Babu has been a long-time supporter of Brazil. He posted a picture on Facebook, wearing the jersey of his much-loved team, just before the match kicked off.
He also shared that he enjoyed the game with his family. The actor was tense at the beginning of the play, as he expects much better performance from the team. However, after half-time, the artiste rejoiced after witnessing the team's spirit. "I could see the rhythm in them at first, but what made me disappointed was that if they could score in the first half if they didn't miss their shots – then they would score about half a dozen."
Dhallywood's popular celebrity couple Moushumi and Omar Sani are keen supporters of Brazil. They are really happy and both are confident that if the team keeps playing like this, they will surely win the trophy this time.
Apu Biswas, on the other hand, said, "I am really happy. Had they lost this one, it would break my heart."
Even Apurba, who is a diehard fan of the team, enjoyed the game till the end. "I was not satisfied with their performance in the first half, however, they performed in their style in the last half. I wish them all the best for the next matches."
Bidya Sinha Mim enjoyed the match with her family staying up till the game was over. Elated Mim shared that the game was really exciting and she is extremely happy for her favourite team.
Actor Shajal has supported Brazil since childhood. When he was in school, he started admiring Pele and the team. Since then, he never missed any game played by his favourite team. Upon Brazil's first win in their first match, he is really excited. "I want to see Brazil taking the cup this time."
Popular actress Monalisa is overjoyed with this victory. She shared, "As I said earlier, Brazil will definitely win their first group-stage game, and they did it." Monalisa also shared that like her Brazil has millions of supporters, who root for them from their heart.
