Chorki original series 'Syndicate', directed by Shihab Shaheen, was just released on Eid day – being the focal point of many discussions. "Ladies and Gentleman" famed actor Tasnia Farin has played the character Shorna, in the series.

"Shorna is a Managing Director (MD) of a reputed bank. Bold and confident, she is the youngest MD there -- like a role model for young women", said Farin. "This was a challenging character for me. But I tried to portray the character just like the script."

She shared the screen with Afran Nisho and Nazifa Tushi in this series. Besides them, she has also acted with the likes of Shatabdi Wadud and Nasiruddin Khan, and more than held her own.

She said, "The lead and supporting cast are brilliant actors in their own right. I learned a lot from seniors like Shatabdi Wadud and Nasir Uddin Khan. The series was shot in some beautiful locations, that I had never been to before. Overall, it was a good experience."

Having earned her place tele-fictions and web series, Farin is all set to make her silver screen debut with the Tollywood film "Aro Ek Prithibi", directed by Atanu Ghosh. She plays Protikkha, who is on a journey of finding solace and shelter amidst her own struggles.

"She has been on the quest for her own place since she was 11 years old, and that journey has led her to London," says Farin. "Through this journey, the audience will discover her in different ways. When she reaches London, she finds the connection between the incidents of her past and present. It's a story of realization, finding your root and home."

When asked about why she chose a Tollywood film to make her silver screen debut, she said, "I wanted my first film to be very special and close to my heart. When you choose a film, there are a lot of factors that comes with it. It does not entirely depend on my choice. This was the right script for me."

The actress has recently completed the shoot for the Hoichoi web series "Karagar", directed by "Taqdeer" famed Syed Ahmed Shawki.

"When the director narrated the story to me, I was awed by it. My character here is unique. I can't reveal any more details, but it's a one-of-a-kind series."

To Tasnia Farin, the medium is secondary for an artiste.

"I don't plan as much for the future. I just try to pick the best projects that come to me"
