Television specials to watch on Nazrul’s death anniversary
Marking the 45th death anniversary of National Poet, Kazi Nazrul Islam, top TV channels of the country are broadcasting special programmes for audiences. Here is a list of special programmes you can watch today.
A special tele-fiction, titled "Shikari" directed by Nahid Ahmed Piyal, is adapted from Nazrul's play, "Ponditmoshayer Baghroshikar'. The adaptation features Shahiduzzaman Selim, Rahmat Ali, M S Shirazi, Aporupa, Parvin Kona, Zahin and others in different roles. "Shikari" will be aired on Duronto Television at 5.30 pm today.
Maasranga Television will air a special tele-fiction, titled "Kalo Horin Chokh", directed by Shimanro Shajol at 10 pm. The screenplay of this adaptation of Nazrul's novel "Badol Borishone" is written by Bishnu Yias, and features Rawnak Hasan along with Moushumi Hamid and others.
Channel i will present a telefilm, titled "Priya Tumi Shukhi Hou", directed by Gitali Hasan under the banner of Impress Telefilm at 3.05 pm. The telefilm, which is an adaptation of Nazrul's novel, "Otripto Kamona", features actors Sohel Rana and Shucharita as a pair along with Ferdous and Shala Sabi. The music is produced by Binod Rai, and the songs are sung by Runa Laila, Samina Chowdhury, Rizia Parvin, and Bijon Mistri, among others. A special musical show, "Dola Lagilo Dokhinar Bone", directed by Izaz Khan Shwapan and hosted by Ferdous Ara will be aired at 8.30 pm on the channel.
A special tele-fiction, titled "Alta Ranga", will be aired on BTV at 9 pm. Produced by Mahfuza Akhter and directed by Al Mansoor, it has been adapted from Kazi Nazrul Islam's poem "Alta Shriti". The tele-fiction stars Evon, Labonno, Ramiz Raju, Kaderi, Motahar, Rina Rahman, Moniruzzaman Monir, Sumna Shanta, Ananya, Gazi Rokon and many others.
A special tele-fiction, titled "Gobhir Nishithe", written by Pantho Shahriar and directed by Nayem Imtiaz Niamul, will be aired at 9.30 pm on NTV. It features Azmeri Haque Badhon, Intekhab Dinar, Kazi Ujjal, Mahmudul Islam and many other actors.
A special live programme, titled "Chitter Oboshad Dur Kore", hosted by Shakila Matin Mridula, will be aired on BanglaVision at 5.30 pm today, where Kazi Nazrul Islam's granddaughter Khilkhil Kazi and Nazrul singer Salahuddin Ahmed will be present as the chief guests, reminiscing about the life of the poet.
Moreover, another special tele-fiction, titled "Dhumketu", written by Sarwar Reza Jimi will be aired on NTV at 9.30 pm on August 28. It is inspired by Nazrul's revered song "Amaye Nohe Go, Bhalobasho Mor Gaan", and is directed by Tuhin Hossain. It features Arfan Nisho, Tanvir Sweety, Dilara Zaman, and A K Azad among others as the key characters.
