The audience can expect a lot of surprises in ‘Jimmi’: Jaya Ahsan
Jaya Ahsan continues on to push boundaries with her acting in both India and Bangladesh with her unique choice in roles. Recently, the actress released her movie "Nakshi Kanthar Jamin", and is also busy shooting for her first Bangladeshi web series 'Jimmi'.
When asked about her plans for the new year, Jaya Ahsan said, "I hope the new year brings blessings for everyone. May it bring happiness and peace to everyone's lives. I wish for everyone's well-being. As for work, I want to continue being involved in good projects in the coming year. I want to stay immersed in work – work is everything."
Meanwhile, Jaya Ahsan starrer "Nakshi Kanthar Jamin", based on the renowned author Hasan Azizul Haque's story "Bidhobader Kotha", was released on December 27.
"The story of 'Nakshi Kanthar Jamin' is very strong. Its powerful narrative will attract audiences. The younger generation should watch this film. They will learn a lot about the Liberation War. Before its release in Bangladesh, 'Nakshi Kanthar Jamin' was featured in several international festivals. It has received praise from acclaimed filmmakers and critics worldwide. This recognition adds an extra layer of satisfaction," said the actress.
Jaya Ahsan further elaborated that the release of her films always brings new experiences and a special sense of joy. "I am feeling that excitement as well. The audience will get to see a new story, something fresh. They will witness a good story and quality filmmaking."
At the end of last year, the national award-winning actress began shooting for Ashfaque Nipun's new web series "Jimmi." The series is expected to be released this year.
"I am hopeful that it will turn out to be a great project. The audience will get to see something good. Let the work be completed first, then I will reveal everything. Let there be some surprise. Ashfaque Nipun is a talented director, so I believe it will be something worthwhile."
Regarding new projects across Bangladesh and India, she said, "Discussions are ongoing for new projects. I will share more once things are finalised. There are also new projects in India. Additionally, several films, including 'OCD', are awaiting release in India."
Addressing her fans, she said, "Look, fans are everything to an artiste. It is their love that pushes us to move forward. I am forever grateful to my fans and will continue to be. I love my fans dearly, and they love me too. At the start of this new year, I once again express my gratitude to them."
When asked what acting means to her, she replied, "Acting is my passion and the essence of who I am. It feels like meditation to me, offering solace and refuge. I cherish acting and keep it close to my heart. It is something I want to dedicate my life to."
