‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ final season trailer teases epic red-cloaked rebellion
The much-anticipated trailer for "The Handmaid's Tale's" final season has been released, giving fans a glimpse of the intense conclusion to the dystopian saga. The sixth and last season of the hit series is set to premiere in April, marking the end of June Osborne's harrowing journey in Gilead.
In the teaser, Elisabeth Moss' June Osborne is once again draped in her iconic red cloak, ready to lead a rebellion against the oppressive regime. Her voiceover delivers a powerful message: "Enough is enough. For years we've been afraid of them. Now it's time for them to be afraid of us. This is the beginning of the end."

The trailer also reveals the return of Yvonne Strahovski's Serena, now back in Gilead. A brief shot shows her walking down the aisle, suggesting a major life change is on the horizon for the complex character.
Familiar faces return, including O-T Fagbenle as June's husband Luke, Max Minghella as her love interest Nick, Ann Dowd as the formidable Aunt Lydia, and Madeline Brewer as former handmaid Janine. New additions to the cast include Josh Charles ("The Good Wife") and D'Arcy Carden ("The Good Place").

The official synopsis for the final season reads: "June's unyielding spirit and determination pull her back into the fight to take down Gilead. Luke and Moira join the resistance. Serena tries to reform Gilead while Commander Lawrence and Aunt Lydia reckon with what they wrought, and Nick faces challenging tests of character. This final chapter of June's journey highlights the importance of hope, courage, solidarity, and resilience in the pursuit of justice and freedom."

Based on Margaret Atwood's iconic novel, "The Handmaid's Tale" has captivated audiences with its chilling depiction of a totalitarian society. The fifth season ended with the dramatic aftermath of Fred Waterford's (Joseph Fiennes) death at the hands of June and a group of women. The finale saw June fleeing Canada with her daughter Nichole, while Nick and Luke sacrificed their freedom to aid her escape. This led to a tense reunion between June and Serena, longtime adversaries, in a train carriage.
As the final season approaches, fans are eagerly awaiting to see how June's fight for justice and freedom will come to a close. "The Handmaid's Tale" returns to Hulu in the US on April 8, while the UK release date remains unconfirmed. However, it is expected to air on Channel 4 shortly after its US debut.
