Recently, “The Kerala Story” was banned in West Bengal on May 8 on the basis of ‘maintaining peace in the state’ and ‘avoiding any violent incidents’ as per media reports.

 

While controversies surrounding Sudipto Sen's "The Kerala Story" are making headlines, the film itself is performing quite well at the box office. On the 4th day of its release, it has earned Rs 10 crore, bringing the film to a total of Rs 45.72 crore Box office score so far.

Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, "The Kerala Story" stars Adah Sharma, Siddhi Idnani and Sonia Balani, amongst others.

In response to this, the producer of the film, Vipul Amrutlal Shah shared with the media, "If the state government won't listen to us, we will explore legal avenues. However, whatever course we take will be based on legal advice."
