‘The Witcher’ fans threaten to ‘boycott’ show after Henry Cavill’s exit
Fans of "The Witcher" series were devastated after Henry Cavill announced that he will be stepping down from the role of 'Geralt of Rivia', and that Liam Hemsworth would be taking his place instead.
Now, many fans have expressed their outrage on social media, threatening to boycott the series.
One person wrote on Twitter, "Boycott 'The Witcher', bring back Henry" while another person wrote, "Replace him with Liam Hemsworth. This is completely outrageous and ridiculous. I will boycott 'The Witcher' if they really replace him."
Yet another user wrote, "No offense to Liam Hemsworth, but I gotta agree. Not sure I have any interest in 'The Witcher' series without Henry Cavill. He was perfect for the role. Huge bummer that he's leaving."
However, many fans have also expressed the desire to give the star of "Hunger Games" a chance to shine as Geralt of Rivia.
"People were also skeptical when Henry Cavill was chosen for 'The Witcher'. And look at him now, he is phenomenal. I want to give Liam a chance before being negative about it. Especially when Liam is a Witcher nerd like all of us," wrote one user.
