Tom Cruise to become first actor to film in outer space
From climbing the longest tower, Burj Khalifa in "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" to jumping over speeding trains in "Mission: Impossible 7", 60-year-old Tom Cruise can give any professional stuntman a run for their money with his amazing fitness and excellent skills.
The Hollywood heartthrob is now set to outdo himself by being the first actor to shoot in outer space. Tom Cruise has paired up with filmmaker Doug Liman, and they have reportedly talked with Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) to launch Tom Cruise with a rocket up to the International Space Station. Cruise will also be seen spacewalking in the film.
Most of the shooting for the film will be done on Earth but in the climax, the character (Tom Cruise) will have to go to outer space to save the world from collapsing. Tom Cruise shooting in space would mark the first civilian to do a spacewalk, and the first actor to shoot in outer space on the International Space Station.
