Veteran actress Gulshan Ara Ahmed, known for her work in numerous television dramas, passed away today at 6:40 am.

She had previously been placed on life support in the ICU after suffering a heart attack. The news of her passing was shared by director Kajal Arefin Ome in a heartfelt social media post.

In his message, Omi wrote, "Our beloved Gulshan Ara Ahmed Apa left us this morning at 6:40."

He also recalled her memorable performances, saying, "In 'Bachelor Point', she portrayed Kabila's mother and the Chairman of Noakhali. We will miss you dearly, Apa. May Allah forgive her sins and grant her a place in Jannatul Ferdous. Ameen."

Gulshan Ara began her journey in television dramas in 2002 as a registered artiste with Bangladesh Television (BTV). Yet, her true aspiration was to make a mark in the film industry.
