‘Wednesday’ actor Jenna Ortega in talks for ‘Beetlejuice 2’
"Wednesday" famed Jenna Ortega has been offered a major role in the long-awaited sequel to Tim Burton's "Beetlejuice". She will be playing the daughter of Lydia Deetz, portrayed by Winona Ryder in the original film.
This is Jenna's second collaboration with Burton, who helmed four episodes of "Wednesday."
For countless aficionados of the horror genre,"Beetlejuice", which debuted in 1988, continues to be a cult favourite for horror fans. The film chronicled the adventures of a couple who died and came back to haunt their former home as ghosts, bringing the cunning Beetlejuice (Keaton) from the Netherworld to scare its residents.
"Beetlejuice," which received positive reviews, made $74 million in North America on a $15 million budget.
Meanwhile, Jenna Ortega will reprise her role in "Wednesday" season 2. She will play Tara Carpenter in Scream VI, the sixth film of the well-known "Scream" slasher franchise, which will hit theatres today.
