We're each other's lucky charm: Deepika on her bond with SRK

Deepika Padukone, who made her Bollywood debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in "Om Shanti Om" and has since shared the screen with him in several successful movies, like "Chennai Express", "Pathaan", and more, recently opened up about her bond with SRK.

In a recent interview with The Week, Deepika Padukone referred to Shah Rukh Khan as her 'lucky charm' and discussed their relationship. She stated, "We are each other's lucky charm. But honestly, we are beyond luck. We have a sense of ownership over each other."

Deepika went on to say, "I am one of the few people he is vulnerable with. There is so much trust and respect, and I think that luck is just the cherry on top."

When asked about whether she charges for special appearances, Deepika revealed, "No, I don't. I wanted to be a part of '83' because I wanted it to be an ode to women who stand behind their husbands' glory. I watched my mother do it. This was my homage to wives who make sacrifices to support their husbands' careers. Other than that, for any special appearance for Shah Rukh Khan, I am there. Same with Rohit Shetty."

Deepika made cameo appearances in "83" and "Cirkus", both of which starred her husband, Ranveer Singh. While these films didn't perform well commercially, "Jawan" has emerged as a blockbuster, earning over Rs 350 crore.

While Shah Rukh Khan is currently enjoying the success of "Jawan", his latest release, he will next appear in the movie "Dunki", directed by Rajkumar Hirani. On the other hand, Deepika Padukone will be seen in "Fighter", helmed by Sidharth Anand, alongside Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor, which is scheduled for release on January 25.
