What’s up with Safa Kabir?

Safa Kabir is an indubitably popular model and actress of this generation and she has been in the industry for around a decade. She won the hearts of the audience by playing both glamorous and natural roles. She recently accumulated exaltation from viewers by playing the role of a female bus helper. The actress has also become the talk of the town since appearing as the character Dr Maha in Vicky Zahed's drama titled "Bed Number 3".

The "Kuhelika" famed actress, recently spoke to The Daily Star concerning her endeavours so far.

Talk to us about the drama 'Bed Number 3' by Vicky Zahed.

It is a drama with a brilliant story and I played the role of Dr Maha. Vicky Zahed is someone who always comes up with dramas with diverse plots. "Bed Number 3" is a story of events that transpires when a person is depressed. Loneliness can kill people. In short, it is an extraordinary story. I have been hearing back from people who are close to me and my audiences and they have all been very appreciative of the drama.

How did you feel about having to embody Dr Maha's character?

Dr Maha did feel like a very challenging character to embody. I always keep an eye out for well-written characters in good plots. I am extremely thankful to the director for "Bed Number 3".

You have been in showbiz for 10 years, what have you yielded so far? What would you say?

I would say my biggest achievement in 10 years is that my viewers not only know me by my name but they watch my work by following them accordingly. I love the appreciation I receive in exchange for putting out good work, and I always intend to participate in well-crafted work.

How supportive have your family been?

I have always had my family's support. I am the only child of my parents as such they always encouraged me to pick a profession that I wanted for myself. Their support assists me in accomplishing my work.

Love from viewers, popularity - what do these facets feel like to you?

I definitely love these facets. Who wouldn't like popularity for themselves? Popularity always feels good. The fact that I get to have a place in the minds of the audiences is a big deal. Many who may want this kind of love, could most likely never receive it.

You have experience working with a few notable actors frequently. Do you believe in maintaining to be seen paired up with actors, viewers love to see you with?

No, I don't sustain thoughts like this. I like to work with everyone. I do not differentiate between the ones I have already worked with and otherwise. I want to work with all artistes and everyone is good at what they do.

Which recent character of yours moved you?

There have been many dramas that I have been moved by. However, I acted as a female bus helper in the drama "Parul" and she definitely left an impact on me. The audience also received her well. The lives of most women are difficult.

In addition, I loved the role of Dr Maha too, she has touched my heart.

What are your goals or dreams associated with acting?

I want to keep on acting in rewarding stories. I feel like I haven't had the opportunity to play more variations of roles and I want those chances.

What are your plans regarding marriage?

I have no plans for marriage right now. My parents are not in any rush as well. I just want to remain busy with my work and I want to be part of good projects.
