Why is Apu Biswas at DB office?

Today, Dhallywood actress Apu Biswas was spotted at the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) office. She was also seen enjoying lunch with the Chief of Detective Branch (DB) Harun Or Rashid and other officers there.

Speaking to journalists in front of the DB office, Apu Biswas shared her concerns about the increasing menace of cyberbullying and its impact on people's lives.

Apu Biswas, who is not only an actress but also the producer of the government-funded film "Laal Shari", expressed her distress over the recent piracy of her film.

"I am the producer of the movie 'Laal Shari'. This film holds significant cultural value. A few days ago, the movie 'Shurongo' also fell victim to piracy. The film's team promptly approached the DB office, leading to the arrest of those involved in the incident as per the law," said Apu Biswas.

"We, too, have a family life. As actors, we are often in the public eye and exposed to various news. It's important to remember that when we represent our country abroad, any cyberbullying can tarnish our image," she added.

She also filed a complaint with the DB office to ensure a fair trial against cyberbullying perpetrators. Although she refrained from disclosing the specific names or pages involved, she asserted that she had taken the necessary steps and received assurances from the DB Cyber Crime team.
